TFC.co.uk ‘How are the management team and players coping with this long lay off?’

BAI am in regular contact with Tom, Smudge and Andrew and I know they are speaking with the players regularly. They are all desperately missing playing and the banter of being with their team mates. Once we know how we are going to come out of lock down and when we can play football again, the management team will be looking at players to retain and bring in for next season. This will obviously depend on budgets and players that want to return based on their own circumstances. We will have to see but we are determined to get out of this league and back into the National League North as soon as we can. It’s just a shame that this is taking longer because of how the pandemic has disrupted our ambitions.’

TFC.co.uk ‘And finally Bob what is your message to our supporters?’

BAWe want to thank them for their brilliant support during this difficult time as I know it has not been easy for them. We desperately want to see them back in the ground as soon as it is allowed. There is nothing like walking into the Lamb to see your local team play, soaking up the atmosphere, the singing, and the banter. That is what I am in it for and I am so grateful for the dedication of all our supporters, our hard-working volunteers that give so much time, Team Builder members, sponsors, and VIPs. Once we are back playing it will be great to see people back in the ground and with all the new houses being built in the area it would be lovely to pick up new fans too. We are creating a fabulous community club here in Tamworth, what with the academy for the children, the education programme now for boys and girls, and the ambitious future we have for the first team. I can’t wait to get going again.’
