Tamworth FC moved four points clear at the top of the table after another comfortable afternoon’s work.
A goal in each half - courtesy of Bilal Yafai and Tyrell Waite - sealed the maximum haul, Tamworth’s fifth straight win in the league.
There’s a real efficiency about the Lambs right now and once they get in front they rarely look like losing.
Sure, they could show more ruthlessness in attack.
They could and should be winning games more heavily in terms of score-line but that will, no doubt, come.
Attacking concerns aside, the squad are going about their business well by negating any threat from their opponents. Ignoring the FA Trophy, a 5-3 horror show against Gainsborough, the Lambs have conceded just twice in five league games now.
On Saturday, Kings Langley offered very little as an attacking force as Tamworth controlled proceedings throughout.
What made the win even more pleasing was the Lambs were able to rest key players and still produce the required results.
James Fry, Henri Wilder and Ahmed Obeng were among those to get a full or partial rest on Saturday.
As to the game itself, the Lambs were deservedly ahead on seven minutes, midfielder Bilal Yafai prodding the ball home from inside the area.
Jordan Gough struck a powerful effort wide and Dan Creaney’s shot was well saved by Melvin Minter as the Lambs continued to have the better of things.
The visitors responded with Callum Adebayi heading into the side-netting while, at the other end, Minter did well to turn Ryan Beswick’s free-kick around the post for a fruitless corner.
As the Lambs looked for a second, Creaney fired straight at Minter while Tyrell Waite’s back heel from close range hit the post after good work from Luke Little.
Both sides had plenty of the ball after the break but clear chances were few and far between - Tamworth having the best of them as Waite twice tested Minter and Creaney curled an effort wide.

Kane Farrell fired a free-kick over the bar as Kings Langley looked for an equaliser but the Lambs added a second on 75 minutes, Waite slotting home Beswick’s nicely weighted pass.
As the game entered the final ten minutes, Mitchell Weiss and Saul Williams had opportunities for the visitors while Waite was denied his second at the other end.
Joint boss Gary Smith said: “Some of the football we played in the first half was sublime. I am happy with the result but I am worried about the amount of chances we are creating but not taking.
“If we had come off at half-time 3-0 or 4-0 up, I don’t think that would have been an injustice.
“The good thing is that, despite not taking chances, the boys find a way to deal with things. In the second half, we have managed the game well and eventually put it to bed to give the score a more deserved look.”
