1-1
Buxton Town
Tamworth welcomed Lewis Wright back in to the starting eleven as The Lambs welcomed Buxton for another pre-season encounter at The Lamb.
The visitors had an early chance on 5 mins and then Green headed wide a minute later
Asante fired wide on 11 and Wright had a half volley effort towards goal.
Waite notched the opening goal of the game on mins when the ball came in from a corner (1-0, 21 mins)
Asante struck over the bar on 23 and after being fouled in the box on 24 Waite saw resulting penalty saved by the Bucks trialist keeper.
10 minutes before the break a shot from Waite hit the bar, looked like it bounced down over the line and back out again but with no VAR there was no way of confirming!
On 44 Diego De Girolamo miss-hit a shot wide as the Lambs ended the half one goal to the good.
There were lots of changes made in a quickly forgettable second half from The Lambs point of view although Diego De Girolamo levelled on 88 from a penalty to end the game all square between the two Step 3 Southern League clubs.
