TJFL Promotion 02/09/2014
On Saturday it is the designated Non League Day and in an attempt to attract more juniors to the game Tamworth FC have arranged with Tamworth Junior Football League that any registered TJFL player who attends the game in their TJFL team shirt at gate 6 they will gain free admission to Saturday’s home game versus Chorley FC. TFJL management will be assisting on the gate to ensure the shirts are from a registered club. We hope that the youngsters will take advantage and come down to watch a Vanarama Conference North game which will be a tight game if the two games against Chorley in the FA Trophy last season is something to go by. With TFJL providing the flag bearers at last Sundays Under 17 at the Lamb the club are pleased that the Junior League are able to assist again and we look forward to working again with them during the season. The club will also require a team of the day for a guard of honour at each game and for the more older boys or girls the opportunity to assist as ball persons. Either contact Dik Boocock at the TJFL or Rod Hadley at the club to book your side in. Tickets will be provided for 10 child places and two coaches/carers.

Lambs make another point 29/08/2014

Dale Belford was disappointed with the overall performance against bottom of the league Hyde to grab a point in the last few minutes. 'We didn't get going today', said the Lambs boss after the 2-2 draw.
'We had a few players with niggles; Dave Hibbert had to come off after getting knocked early on and John Adams is still playing with a knock but I have told the players I expect more from them. We also needed to mix up the bench a bit today as well and George Grayson deserved his place after the effort he has put in in training'
The previously ever present Lee Hildreth was unavailable today due to other commitments.
'That said,' Dale continued' we came back and kept going after falling 1-2 behind to get another point.
'All being well Javan Vidal will be (internationally) clear to play against Chorley next Saturday.'
